Providing Redeployment & Outplacement Support to Guinness Partnership.
We have been providing outplacement, redeployment and executive coaching services to Wulvern housing (now part of The Guinness Partnership) since 2013. The Guinness Partnership merged Wulvern January 2017 and has been around for more than 125 years providing as many high-quality homes as possible and delivering amazing service to their customers.
While Wulvern was not part of the public sector, they did not receive government funding to build new homes and restore communities. In response to the introduction of Welform Changes by the government, Wulvern recognised the need to restructure their business to ensure they were closer to their customers. As a result, a number of colleagues at all levels were placed at risk of redundancy and were required to go through a redeployment process.
In line with organisation's commitment to being "A brilliant place to work and a company that others want to work with", What Next has worked closely with the HR team for over five years, delivering programmes that meet the needs of business and the individuals. Programmes involve providing essential skills enabling delegates to tap into their potential and perform to the best of their ability during redeployment selection processes or following redundancy.
Through discussions with the HR team to understand the types of evaluations that would form part of assessment processes, we designed a redeployment programme involving short workshops combined into a one-day. One day programmes typically include:
Following the redeployment and recruitment processes, colleagues who are not successful receive referrals to What Next for further support which includes a half-day Job Hunting Workshop on which covers:
Colleagues receive 1:2:1 sessions with a What Next Career Coach, who will provide bespoke support for CV writing, interview skills and confidence training.
Feedback from both assessors and delegates has been exceptional about both the content of the programme, and the support participants feel that they have received. We continue to provide outplacement and redeployment support to Wulvern on an ongoing basis. We are also happy to confirm that, What Next is part of Wulvern's Coaching Framework, working with Senior Leaders and colleagues in need of intensive support and coaching.
